Sanctum
Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Remote Inclusive (“Remote Inclusive”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Sanctum mobile application and related website (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using Sanctum, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. License
Subject to these Terms, Remote Inclusive grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sanctum on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or third-party right.
- Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts violence or self-harm.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
- Misuse the Service to impersonate any person or entity, including clergy or public figures.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service.
We reserve the right to remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions & payment (Apple IAP)
- Sanctum offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (“Sanctum Plus”). The price and billing period are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms.
4. AI-generated content disclaimer
Sanctum uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, which may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Responses are for reflection and study only and are not a substitute for guidance from clergy, qualified medical, mental health, legal, or financial professionals. You are responsible for evaluating the information provided and for any decisions you make.
5. Crisis & safety
Sanctum is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or are considering harm to yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or, in the United States, dial 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Remote Inclusive a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not use your content for advertising and do not sell it.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Remote Inclusive or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted to you in Section 1, no rights are transferred.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remote Inclusive will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) twenty United States dollars.
11. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Remote Inclusive, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Sanctum. In the event of any failure of Sanctum to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Sanctum. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Export & sanctions
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer law grants you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
